Ephesians 6:17
Two Greek words for "word": the whole message, and a specific spoken word.
Logos generally refers to the message or word as a whole — John 1 uses it of Christ himself. Rhema tends to point at a specific utterance, a word spoken into a moment.
Ephesians 6:17 calls the sword of the Spirit the rhema of God. In a practical sense, that is the difference between owning a Bible and having a particular verse ready when you need it. Both words matter; they are not in competition.
