Hebrews 11:1
Trust and faithfulness — believing something enough to act on it.
Pistis covers both belief and reliability. The same word can mean the faith a person has and the faithfulness they show, which is why faith in the New Testament is never only an opinion.
Hebrews 11 defines it as substance and evidence, then spends a chapter listing people who did something because of it. If a belief never changes a decision, the New Testament would not call it pistis.
