Luke 18:1
Luke 18:1
Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.
Luke states the purpose of the parable before telling it, which is unusual. The point is persistence: a widow keeps coming to an unjust judge and is answered because she will not stop.
The argument is from lesser to greater. If persistence moves an unjust judge, how much more a just God. The verse pairs praying with not losing heart, treating them as the same discipline.
